Hi,
My name is Charlye Cosgrove. In September of 2024 my life changed forever as I was diagnosed with osteosarcoma. After months of server arm pain, exhaustion and multiple doctor visits with no clear answers. What first seemed to be a pulled muscle, turned into discovering that my arm had broken unexpectedly. leading doctors to find an aggressive cancer.
Within days I began Chemotherapy treatment. Countless scans, hospital stays and appointments at OSHU. I faced infections, extreme pain and low blood counts and the possibility of them having to amputate my arm. After months of treatment and the tumor responding well, they were able to perform a rare surgery and saved my arm. Following additional treatments after the surgery to make sure the cancer was gone,
I rang the bell on June 11th of 2025. This was the happiest days of my life. I am now a year cancer free. My journey inspired the creation of “Cheering for Charlye foundation to help support children and families facing cancer. Through financial assistance, encouragement, moments of joy and community support we will help so that no child or family has to fight this alone.
Mother to Charlye and an active board member, Kristal helps to make all the event a success. She believes in giving back to the community that had given so much to her and the family.
